Ansonians with a hankering for flame-broiled burgers will have to put those cravings on hold until summer, as the Burger King located in Anson Station on the 74 Strip in Wadesboro closed last week for a complete rebuild. The old store was demolished today and the debris will be removed and the site prepped for a brand new structure over the next several days. The new store is expected to be up and running in time for beach season and the increased traffic volumes it brings.
Burger King is the fifth national chain restaurant on the 74 Strip to remodel or rebuild in the past 30 months, joining McDonald's, KFC, Bojangles and Wendys. All together, these companies are estimated to have invested more than $7 million in their properties since 2017. And another national chain is said to be eying the 74 Strip for a location to break ground in the spring. Stay tuned.
We’ve invested more than that in aco already. In actual liquid assets.
